HAPPY FREEDOM DAY!

"For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others." - Nelson Mandela

27 April 2023 marks 29 years since South Africa's first democratic elections. Let us commemorate it and be grateful for the sacrifices made by those who fought for a better South Africa.

This day, we reflect on how far we have come, while remembering the many sacrifices made by selfless patriots who paved the way for a democratic and free South Africa. #Happyfreedomday #Expressyourfreedom

HARD WORK PAYS OFF

The sacrifices made, effort and time committed towards obtaining this qualification were excruciating. My faith was surely tested along the journey, but I can say without a doubt, the strengthening of it outweighed the testing of it.

Journeying through the past four years presented its challenges. Experiencing this moment now, I am filled with so much excitement. It still feels quite surreal and quite like I'm dreaming. One realises that it was all worth it, the late nights doing assignments and studying for tests and exams, the tears that were shed, it was not in vain. Hard work pays off!

It is undeniable that I have had a fantastic whole rounded University experience thus far. Thank you to everyone who encouraged me along the way. My University Professors and lecturers, tutors, mentors, family, friends, colleagues, acquaintances, and others whom I may have not mentioned. You are truly appreciated!

And lastly, I'm eternally grateful for such a beautiful life, the experiences, the people in it and everything in between. Living life intentionally and not merely prolonging, it is a blessing in and for itself. #universityofjohannesburg #graduate #explorepage #inspiration #keepgoing #keepthefaith #southafrica

KEEPING MOVING FORWARD

This season feels so good, living out a promise God prepared. It's amazing that God has taught me that it's not really about it being my moment. It's His moment, for His glory.

Having gone through what has undoubtedly been the toughest journey of my life, I smile in victory. The message in Philippians 4:13 has become a mantra, carrying me through every single trial and tribulation. Keep moving forward, even one or two steps, in your own way. Those who live out their lives to the fullest, unperturbed by the noisy clamor around them, are the true winners. #Hisglory #Hispresence #Hisunendinglove #Hisgrace #graduation #universityofjohannesburg #graduate #explorepage #inspiration #keepgoing #keepthefaith #southafrica

CELEBRATING GRADUATION CEREMONY

My degree was officially conferred today at the University of Johannesburg. Upon taking my seat in the auditorium, it became an emotional moment for me.

This has been a war, without a shadow of a doubt, that paved the way for the light to emerge at the end of the tunnel, a difficult struggle, a stressful journey that ultimately, and thankfully, led towards triumphant victory!

I can proudly share this accomplishment as a Bachelor of Commerce graduate with all because in truth, this was not an individual effort. It is all thanks to my family, friends, and community that pushed me through this stage. I pray to use this momentum going forward for the next chapter of my life, and hopefully, more success is on the horizon.

The easy path rarely leads to what our heart truly desires in this life we must face many a worthy challenge for the outcome to satisfy us. The simple way seldom prompts what our heart really wants in this life we should confront numerous a commendable test for the result to fulfill us.

On many nights I wanted to let it all go, but leaving things half done never yields any desirable results. You don't get to see what could have been. Trust your journey and make adjustments where you need to. I rarely ever say this, but I'm proud of myself. Thank God to all that supported me through it all. Many lessons and skills have come from this and I couldn't be more grateful.

Wisdom is the combination and the use of common sense, intuition, experience, knowledge, and discernment to make good judgements. This sensible decision making contributes to a positive quality of life in all aspects: emotional, mental, physical, spiritual and financial.

Wise decisions are a result of a fine balance between focusing on "How might this benefit me?" and short-term wants and needs whilst also considering the long-term perspectives and impact of your decisions and choices on yourself, immediate environment and society at large.

HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY

Happy Good Friday, unto you dear friends. I hope you are still well and in good health. May all the choicest blessings of the Lord be showered upon you and your loved ones. May your life be filled with delight, grace and peace. Wishing you abundance blessings, love and joy in your life.

Good Friday: What exactly is Good Friday and why is it referred to as "good" despite the fact that it is a somber and gloomy celebration of Jesus' death and suffering on that fateful day?

The Christian holy day of Good Friday, the Friday before Easter, commemorates Jesus' crucifixion and death at Calvary. Christians consider Good Friday to be an important day of the year because it commemorates what they consider to be the most significant weekend in world history.

Ever since Jesus died and was raised, Christians have proclaimed the cross and resurrection of Jesus to be the decisive turning point for all creation. Paul considered it to be, "of first importance" that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and was raised to life on the third day, all in accordance with what God had promised all along in the Scriptures...(1 Corinthians 15:3).

On Good Friday, we commemorate the day that Jesus voluntarily suffered and died by crucifixion as the supreme sacrifice for our sins (1 John 1:10). It is trailed by Easter, the glorious celebration of the day Jesus was raised from the dead, heralding His victory over sin and death and pointing ahead to a future resurrection for all who are united to Him by faith (Romans 6:5).

HELLO APRIL

New month blessings unto you, dear beloved. I missed you all so much! I hope you are still well and in good health. It's a brand-new month to live, laugh, be happy, give thanks for blessings, love and smile. May God bless you and your loved ones and keep you safe.

Your pain is not personal. The day I realised this I stopped asking God why I go through what I go through. It's not personal! God said to me, "You are not supposed to go through this as though I would ever lavish in your pain. You are supposed to grow through it."

Any pain you face is purposeful and designed to help you minister to the people you are called for. That's why the Bible says Jesus is the Priest who can feel our infirmities, Hebrews 4:15. We have a Priest who can show compassion and concern towards us. You can't school Him on betrayal, Judas did that for you, Matthew 26. You can't school Him on rejection, the builders did that for you, Matthew 21:42. You can't school Him on your loved ones denying you, Peter did that for you, John 18.

What am I saying? Gather your pain and figure out who you are called for! Your pain is not in vain and not personal. Go ahead! Let people judge you, laugh and rip your name to shreds at you because of what you've been through.

Why? Because in a minute, you are about to be able to minister to people they won't even have a clue on how to speak to, let alone minister to. That mess contains a message suit for your stage. A person who has been broken before is the best person to talk to a broken person! #unlearntolearn
