REST AND HEAL

Happy Friday loved ones. Taking time off to rest and recalibrate is as important as moving forward. Don't wear yourself out as you journey along, take some time off to rest. Take diligent care of yourself. Relax. Isolate and center yourself back. It doesn't all have to happen today; you can try again tomorrow!

Nobody talks about how hard it is to transition; we don't talk about the transitioning period enough. From being single to getting into a relationship; from studying to working, from marriage to divorce, from being carefree to becoming a parent, from having family to suffering loss... we don't talk about the season of transitioning because we are just ready to get to the other side, we overlook this season of pain, anxiety, shock and honestly confusion.

I've been thinking about how as humans we are good at suppressing our emotions because we are told to be grateful for what's coming or told "but you turned out okay". You don't have to be okay if you are struggling with change right now, whether it's good or bad change it's okay for you to feel overwhelmed by it all, it doesn't make you less grateful it makes you human.

Beloved, keep this in mind, any type of change will come with new dynamics and unexpected anxiety. Don't suppress those emotions you are feeling. Deal with them, embrace them and get through them. #recalibrate #readjust #restandrecharge #loveyourselfalways #takecareofyourself #dontgiveup

THE DICTUM OF LIFE

Happy new Month beloved, here's a little reminder: If you want to be the greatest, serve the best. Jesus has given the best of service to all humanity; hence He is the King above all. Make up your mind to be a faithful servant and whatever work you are given to do, do unto completion with all sincerity and cheerfulness of heart. May God enlighten the eyes of your understanding.

"For by strength [alone] shall no man prevail." - 1 Samuel 2:9b (KJV)

The word translated strength in the above scripture comes from the Hebrew word 'Koach' which can be translated strength, power, ability, skill, or any prowess a person can possess. Now bringing it home, in the world today, we have people we know or have heard of to possess great academic, financial, spiritual and social 'Koach'. We admire them for the great feats that they perform, display, and portray in the audience of the whole world and for their awe-inspiring achievements. But if we zoom in into their lives, something is not right. Behind the name of that famed billionaire, praised scholar, celebrated entertainer there is a tormented soul screaming out for help. What am I saying, you may ask? Well, let's turn to the bible for some clarity.

Ecclesiastes 5:19 (CEB)
God gives people wealth and riches and enables them to enjoy it, to accept their place in the world and to find pleasure in their hard work, all this is God's gift.

Deuteronomy 8:18-19 (KJV)
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth... And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

From the above scriptures, we appreciate that it is God who gives the power to get wealth and the ability to enjoy it. Some people only have the former, they take no pleasure in what they worked hard to earn. Sickness, loneliness, addictions, agitation and turmoil's steal their strength to enjoy what they work hard for. How this need not be. All you have to do is remember the true God and deny money, praise or fame the place of God in your life.

Psalm 20:7-8 (KJV)
"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright." #sticktotheword #lovetheword #befaithful #servehumanity

TRUST THE PROCESS

Sometimes we tend to think that the only way we can carry God's badge of honour is if we make it look easy. But God doesn't call us to make it look easy, He calls us to make it look real. On His way to the cross, Jesus made a small detour so that He could allow emotion to sweep Him over.

He cried and asked God to let the "cup" pass Him. Destiny at stake, millions of lives on the line, but He refused to lie and make it look like the decision to be nailed to the cross was something easy. We all know what's at stake and what's on the line. We all know that destiny has a cost and harvest has a price but that doesn't mean it comes easy. When life gets hard sometimes, I never forget to tell myself that it's okay not to be okay sometimes.

Sometimes it hurts, sometimes it's painful, but l will never rob myself the opportunity to weep at the feet of Jesus. If we never feel weak, His strength cannot be made manifest in our situations. And I know that even when I cry, it doesn't end in God's disappointment because He knows, I'll still do it for Him ANWAY! I'll do it standing! I'll do it kneeling! I'll do it crawling! I'll do it crying! I'll still fight, win, and serve Him anyway. That's not weakness, that's transparency! #holdontight #believeinyourself #trustthewait #trusttheprocess

FUEL UP YOUR SPIRIT

Someone once asked me, "What does it take for a young man like you to serve God the way you do." I replied and said, "EVERYTHING beloved, absolutely EVERYTHING!"

You know it is a growing reality to me how easy it is to know a lot about Jesus and yet not know Jesus. Our hearts have that tendency to make Him a concept, ignoring His reality. Theology can lead to pride if it is an end in itself. When you truly build a relationship with Him and dwell inside Christ, you will have the fullness of His attention, affection, and wholeness. This is not just the gospel or the study of scriptural truth, this is God's original idea of life.

People, unlike cars, don't have fuel indicators and as such we don't know when to step aside and refill. But what if I told you we actually do have some sort of indicator?

2 Corinthians 13:5
Put yourselves to the test and judge yourselves, to find out whether you are living in faith. Surely you know that Christ Jesus is in you? - unless you have completely failed.

In the busyness of life, juggling all things that excite us, worry us, or give us a sense of purpose, we often don't realise that we have limited energy to pour out and we definitely need time for re-fueling and time for service.

Today I want to point out some of the indicators that you are running on empty like quick to be angry rudeness, vain/ negative imaginations, unable to sit still, overeating, hate and unforgiving heart.

If these things threaten their way into your character resist the devil and watch him flee away from you. Fuel up, devotion, prayer, worship fasting, confess the Word of God. Have a lovely and purposeful Sunday. #happysunday #sticktotheword #lovetheword #fuelupyourspirit

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

Greetings, beloved brethren. Happy International Women's Day, respect to all for being the unsung heroes of our society, as Life Hope Inspired Family we love, honour, and appreciate you.

Did you that the greatest enemy of a woman is not another woman but a broken woman! Life is all about a reflection of energy. If I'm broken and I come across your path, my natural impulse would be for me to reflect brokenness to you too! If my crown is bent, all I will want to do is misalign yours too! But if I'm whole and I see you broken, all I'll want is to make sure you're whole too!

It's so important that you as women become whole as individuals!

This women's day I pray for wholeness! I pray every woman out there in the world to gain the strength they need to become who they need to become in order to fulfill their destinies. I pray you don't allow a misguided past to ruin a perfectly orchestrated future! I pray you believe there's better for you out there!

Listen, until you forgive yourselves, you will always see yourselves through the shattered pieces of the dreams you can no longer have. But Nothing can be seen clearly through broken pieces: no future, no hope, no faith, not even love is capable of being seen properly through shattered glass.

You have to stop believing that just because you are damaged would simply mean you are irreparably broken. Look at yourself through the mirror of grace! You're not what you did, you're not what they did to you, you're a product of the working and permanently active power of God!

Don't just stay in motion just to pass the time, live, and move purposely. Stabilise yourself. You're bigger than what you've gone through. You're the strongest being created by God. You take houses and turn them into homes. The Bible says, "you have an unfading gentle spirit, you can love the way heaven loves". You carry an atmosphere of God. Your strength is not in muscle, it's in heart and that heart can help you weather a thousand storms! You're doing well by your children, family, job, ministry, partner and by God-don't compare your progress with that of another, you're doing well-just get better! Life Hope Inspired Family loves you dearly, enjoy! #happywomensday #youmatter #youworthit #inspiration #beliveit #loveyou #enjoylife

WE RISE BY LIFTING OTHERS

WE RISE BY LIFTING OTHERS

"Carry each other's burdens and so you will fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2). You may not see it today or tomorrow, but you will look back in a few years and be absolutely perplexed and awed at how every little thing added up and brought you somewhere wonderful or where you've always wanted to be. You'll beam off gratitude at how things didn't work out the way you once wanted them to. Elegance is not about being noticed but being remembered.

DON'T PUT TO MUCH PRESSURE ON YOURSELF

I've been writing the chapter in my notes about "Becoming" about how so many of us are so focused on the end goal, the finish line, on becoming that we totally forget to be.

We forget to be present, be happy, be patient, be consistent, be content. We live in our thoughts that drive us to think that right now is not enough, and instead of embracing the current season and taking the lessons from it; we spend the whole time unhappy living a life of barrenness that seems to be yielding no results. But after going through this season countless times myself I finally understood the importance of being before I could become, the importance of every season.

The Bible says, "Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes." - ‭Matthew 6:34 #moreaboutthisinmybook

MAINTAIN YOUR PASSION FOR THE GOSPEL

"But that which ye have already hold fast till I come." - Revelation 2:25

As a Christian, everyday consistently presents opportunities for you to keep the faith and maintain your confession of who Jesus is and what He means to you. Nothing should take away your focus to Jesus Christ. He's all that genuinely matters. Declare your love for Him and your enthusiasm for the Gospel.

Sometimes anger or bitterness can douse your zeal and effectiveness in ministering to others. Hebrews 12:15 says, "Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled." Don't stop preaching and teaching this gospel to convince more to be born again and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord as their personal Saviour. Note this: Don't become cold about the things of God because someone offended you.

The privileges of service we have in the house of God are sacrosanct; don't take them lightly. You've been endowed with the ability and grace to lead people to Christ, unveiling to them the mysteries of the Kingdom; keep at it. There's a crown of glory awaiting you at the end.

The Bible says those that go numerous to honorableness will sparkle as stars everlastingly (Daniel 12:3). Continue sparkling evermore in driving or leading numerous to Christ. Let it be your life's work and priority.

Further study:

"So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith." - Romans 1:15‭-‬17

STAY TRUE TO THE GOSPEL

"We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair." - 2 Corinthians 4:8

The Christianity that we have today didn't come to us on a platter of gold. If you read about Christian martyrs, you'd find that many were killed, beheaded, for their testimony of Christ. On one occasion, over six thousand men were slaughtered for their faith in Jesus Christ, and they were soldiers. They believed the Gospel with all their hearts, and nothing was going to stop them from transferring to the next generation the same faith that they had received.

All the years that you've probably had liberty to worship the Lord, to praise Him in the church, attend crusades and participate in life-transforming meetings, that liberty came through the deep struggle, prayers, sweat, tears, blood, faith, determination and passion of other men and women who staked their lives on the Gospel. They weren't only persecuted; many were buried alive. Some were sawn in two; violently killed, for their faith in Jesus Christ.

Persecution of Christians is still happening in several countries today. Some countries have concentration camps where Christians are subjected to harsh and heinous treatments for their faith in Jesus. A very recent report officially shows that Christians are the most persecuted group in the world.

I'm bringing this to you, so you understand that the faith of Jesus Christ that we have, the message of Christ that we've believed, is worth everything. In spite of the persecution, those before us maintained their faith and stayed true to the Gospel. It should and must be the same in our day.

No matter what's happening in your city or nation, stay true to Christ. Don't vacillate. Don't give up. Don't quit. Preach the Word in and out of season. Nothing should be terrifying or intimidating enough to keep you quiet, for greater is He that's in you than all the adversaries and adversities in the world.

BE BRAVE

Don't get caught up in this new addiction called "lifestyle", don't get caught up in the hype of trying to "live your best life". It's easy to become depressed when you're constantly trying to match everything and everyone you see on social media. It's even easier to suffer with depression whilst trying to become a 'brand/influencer', trying to prove to the world you are happy, you are successful, your chosen, your blessed, you are living your best life, you can easily get caught up in the web where likes equate to euphoria and validation, when the number of followers start to feel like you're being heard. The reality is, most people only like you when you're okay, when you have something to give. But what happens when you run dry? When you hit a dead end? When you face life changing situations, when you stop posting...do you start going into withdrawals like a drug addict? What happens when the lights go out at night? Do u have an identity or are you just a brand? Depression is real, and it is paralyzing so many people in our society today. My advice to you: Don't give all your oxygen to people who can breathe without it. Take care of yourself, take time to discover yourself, don't be afraid to walk away from pressure filled environments that are not good for your sanity, it doesn't make you a quitter or a loser, it makes you brave. #besmartpracticalandwise

FEED ON THE RIGHT INFORMATION

"…It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4).

In today's world, people are more particular about what they eat. While some eat the right food to stay healthy, they are those who, from eating all the wrong things, have put their health at risk. It's the same thing spiritually. As a Christian, you must feed on the right information. You must feed your faith with the Word of God. Some Christians would rather feed their fears than feed their faith. You feed your fears when you pay attention to wrong or noxious information.

The effect of feeding on wrong information in the life of a Christian may not be seen overnight; but with time, such a person gets weaker and weaker spiritually. Before long, he's no longer as fervent in spiritual things as he used to be. Then, his life takes a completely different turn from God's original plan. Give attention to the right information. Fortify and energize your spirit for success with God's Word. The forces of life are domiciled in your spirit; as you feed your spirit with the Word, you'll be able to produce every good thing you want in life from within you. Jesus said, ''A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things" (Matthew 12:35).
