In order to be truly saved, one must have faith in Jesus Christ and genuinely repent of their sins. This entails not only a rejection of sinful behaviour, but also a deep desire to please God and to live in a way that is pleasing to Him. It involves striving for holiness, a determination to differ from the world, and a refusal to conform to the standards and practices of the majority of people, including those who call themselves Christians.
