THE DICTUM OF LIFE

Happy new Month beloved, here's a little reminder: If you want to be the greatest, serve the best. Jesus has given the best of service to all humanity; hence He is the King above all. Make up your mind to be a faithful servant and whatever work you are given to do, do unto completion with all sincerity and cheerfulness of heart. May God enlighten the eyes of your understanding.

"For by strength [alone] shall no man prevail." - 1 Samuel 2:9b (KJV)

The word translated strength in the above scripture comes from the Hebrew word 'Koach' which can be translated strength, power, ability, skill, or any prowess a person can possess. Now bringing it home, in the world today, we have people we know or have heard of to possess great academic, financial, spiritual and social 'Koach'. We admire them for the great feats that they perform, display, and portray in the audience of the whole world and for their awe-inspiring achievements. But if we zoom in into their lives, something is not right. Behind the name of that famed billionaire, praised scholar, celebrated entertainer there is a tormented soul screaming out for help. What am I saying, you may ask? Well, let's turn to the bible for some clarity.

Ecclesiastes 5:19 (CEB)
God gives people wealth and riches and enables them to enjoy it, to accept their place in the world and to find pleasure in their hard work, all this is God's gift.

Deuteronomy 8:18-19 (KJV)
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth... And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

From the above scriptures, we appreciate that it is God who gives the power to get wealth and the ability to enjoy it. Some people only have the former, they take no pleasure in what they worked hard to earn. Sickness, loneliness, addictions, agitation and turmoil's steal their strength to enjoy what they work hard for. How this need not be. All you have to do is remember the true God and deny money, praise or fame the place of God in your life.

Psalm 20:7-8 (KJV)
"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright." #sticktotheword #lovetheword #befaithful #servehumanity

SMILE WHILE AT IT

Smile, laugh, and love, for God is always at work. Just because you can't see any changes now doesn't mean He has stopped working. I...
